Happy Nurses Day!

Every year, on the 12th of May which coincides with the birth of Florence Nightingale, we celebrate and commemorate nurses around the globe for their significant impact and exemplary role in our society.

Last year, in honor of the 200th birthday of Florence Nightingale, the World Health Organization designated 2020 as the “International Year of the Nurse and Midwife”. They had no idea that a pandemic would envelop the world the same year! The convergence of these events is a poignant reminder of nurses’ vital role in caring for patients, comforting families and protecting the health of the community.

Time has tested and proven the principal role nurses have immensely contributed to the field of education, research, and most essentially, patient care as we face the detrimental impact of the ongoing global pandemic.

As we continue to foster quality care for individuals and our society, today is a momentous day to show our utmost gratitude and recognition to our fellow nurses. We highly appreciate all your sacrifices, generosity, and compassionate care!

Nurses are indeed the catalyst for better global health.

Happy Nurses Day!
