Hassinen

Project Manager

Ms. Hassinen, MA (English) is the Project Manager of ProInCa and will work as WP leader in WP1 (Preparation) and WP5 (Management) in addition to participating in WPs 3 (Quality Assurance) and 4 (Dissemination and Exploitation).

She has experience in administrative and support tasks in higher education and global education services. Her key qualifications are English, international relations, and coordination/support of education services.

PhD. Johanna
Heikkilä

Project coordinator and Scientific Manager

Senior advisor Ms. Heikkilä, PhD (Health Sciences), registered nurse, is the WP leader in WP 2.3 (Establish HEI research program and networking) in ProInCa. She also works in WPs 1 and 3-5.

She has been team leader in the World Bank project in Kazakhstan “Partnership in nursing care development and improvement” from the beginning of March 2014, and her first contacts and visits to Kazakhstan have been in 2012. In addition, she has coordinated large (EUR 1,4 M) multi-university innovation projects in Finland and has published several research articles and tutored plentiful bachelor and master theses.

Järvinen

Specialist

PhD. Sari Järvinen works as a teacher/researcher in the ProInCa-project WPs 2.3 (Establish HEI research program and networking) and 2.4 (Modernization of nursing leadership).

Her key qualifications are nursing management and cost-efficient best practices in health care. She has been a member in several regional and municipal development and working groups concerning health care service systems.

PhD. Hanna
Hopia

Principal Lecturer in Nursing

PhD. Hanna Hopia works as a researcher/teacher in work package 2.3 (Establish HEI research program and networking).

She is a professional in nursing, nursing education and implementation of nursing science into practice. Ms. Hopia has a wide experience in publishing academic articles in international (15 articles) and national (15 articles) scientific nursing journals and of working as a board member in a national Nursing Research Foundation, which produces clinical guidelines for the Finnish health care system.

Hautamäki

Head of ICT Programmes

Ph.L. Jari Hautamäki is a teacher/researcher in WP2.1 (Center for Nursing Excellence).

Mr. Jari Hautamäki, Ph.L. works as the Head of ICT Programmes at JAMK University of Applied Sciences. He has more than 20 years’ experience of university education and its management. His research interest topics are data networks, IT Service Management, security information sharing and Information Security Management.

Norvapalo

Research and Development Manager

Mr. Kare Norvapalo, D.Sc. (Econ. & Bus.Adm.), M.Sc. (Sport and Health Sciences), acts as Academic Advisor in ProInCa.

Mr. Norvapalo has 15 years of experience from the work of manager. His main task is to ensure that the university’s strategy, goals and international competitiveness will be achieved on a yearly basis. Main areas of work also include national and international collaboration with JAMK’s partners.

Pignatelli

Dean

In ProInCa, Mr. Pignatelli’s role is Academic Advisor. He also works in WPs 4 (Dissemination and Exploitation and 5 (Management).

Professor Pignatelli has broad experience in leadership positions both in the clinical and academic settings. Previously Dr. Pignatelli was at the University of Glasgow, School of Medicine, where he served as international lead in the College of Medical, Veterinary, and Life Sciences and head of the School of Medicine, which includes the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing and Health Care.

L. Stitt

Director of Nursing Education

In ProInCa, Ms. Stitt mainly works as researcher in WP 4 (Dissemination and Exploitation).

Board-certified as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist; prior to NUSOM, was Advanced Clinical Education Specialist at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the Department of Nursing Education and Research (1987-2016); Co-founder of the International Transplant Nurses Society (1992), international experience in professional nursing development in Palermo, Italy and Botswana, Africa.

Syzdykova

 

In ProInCa, Ms. Syzdykova mainly works in WP 4 (Dissemination and Exploitation) and WP 5 (Management).

Ms. Syzdykova, MD, MSc, MBA, has experience in coordinating the development of human resources in health care. She has worked in public service at the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan and coordinated the issues of training of medical staff, including nursing specialists.

Paolo
C. Colet

Assistant Professor

In ProInCa, Mr. Colet mainly works in WP 4 (Dissemination and Exploitation).

Mr. Colet is a registered nurse-midwife from the Philippines. Prior to his appointment at Nazarbayev University as an Assistant Professor, he was in Saudi Arabia as a lecturer in nursing, supervising nursing students during their clinical rotation. Likewise, he worked as a clinical instructor in the Philippines for nurses and midwives.

Assistant to the Dean

In ProInCa, Ms. Shakharbekova mainly works in WP 4 (Dissemination and Exploitation).

Ms. Shakharbekova has worked in Nazarbayev University since May 2017 as an Assistant of the Dean.Previously she worked in the Ministry of Investments and Development. She has experience in working with international governmental organizations.

In ProInCa, Mr. Bekzhassarov mainly works in WPs 4 (Dissemination and Exploitation) and 5 (Management).

Mr. Bekzhassarov joined Nazarbeyev University after completing his Master’s degree in International Business from the Henley Business School, University of Reading, UK. Before that, he has had internship experience in the Senate of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and in various national agencies and institutions.

Principal lecturer

In ProInCa, Ms. Huotari is the WP leader in WP 2.4 (Modernization of nursing leadership) andwill also work in WP3 (Quality Assurance).

Ms. Huotari, PhD, RN, obtained a Doctorate degree in Administrative Sciences in 2009. Currently she is responsible for the master’s degree programme Social and health care development and management. Her main interests are management theory and practice, strategic management, innovation and competence management, educational quality assurance, and development of virtual pedagogy.

Tiittanen

Principal lecturer

In ProInCa, Ms. Tiittanen will work in WPs 2.1 (2.1.2 Design and development of the e-platform), 2.4 (2.4.2 Promote the joint capacity of nursing leadership) and 5 (5.1 Continuous project coordination and management).

Ms. Tiittanen, LicNSc, MSc(Ed), RN, has worked in nursing education over 30 years in challenging development and leadership tasks, which have given her a strong insight to the nursing and nursing education also internationally. The last four years she has been actively developing nursing education in Kazakhstan.

In ProInCa, Mr. Roslakka will act as WP leader in WP 3 (Quality Assurance) and will also work in WP 2.3 (Establish HEI research program and networking).

Mr. Roslakka, PhD, received his Doctorate degree in Social Sciences in 2005. His main interests are research, development, and future foresight methods. He has worked in the Erasmus Life Long Learning project ”Soulbus: Building Social Capital by Improving Multicultural Competence in Higher Education and Labour Market”, 2013-2015, in which he was in charge of the project’s quality assurance.

In ProInCa, Ms. Kivinen will work in WP 2.2. (Efficiency and quality by evidence- based nursing).

PhD -student, MSc(Ed), RN, Ms.Kivinen’sprofessional expertise areas in nursing education are evidence based nursing, clinical education, simulation and mentorship. She has experience of working in international projects and has been involved in global education services with capacity building, nursing education curriculum and nursing practice quality development work in Kazakhstan. Currently she is also involved in nursing clinical guideline development work in Kazakhstan.

Molotov-Luchanskiy

Coordinator

Mr. Molotov-Luchanskiy, Doctor of medical sciences, professor, teacher, for a long period acted as Head of the department of introduction to the clinic, which taught students the basics of nursing. From 2012 to 2017, Mr. Molotov-Luchanskiyhas been the vice-rector for academic work, currently professor of the Department of Internal Medicine, acting vice-rector for educational work. Therapist of the highest category, endocrinologist. He was engaged in the Erasmus projects TAME and CASEU as associated team worker and stakeholder.

In ProInca, he will mainly work in WPs 2.3 (Establish HEI research program and networking) and 5 (Management).

Meermanova

Researcher/Teaching Fellow

Ms. Meermanova graduated as Bachelor of Nursing in 2015 and Master of Sciences in 2017. Her master’s dissertation topic was «Development of a rehabilitation program with the basics of premorbid diagnostics for students». Currently she is a teacher of the department of public health and nursing of KSMU.

In ProInca, she will mainly work in WP 2.3 (Establish HEI research program and networking).

Aitmagambetov

Researcher/Teaching Fellow

Mr. Auez Aitmagambetov works in the Department of Public Health and Nursing at KSMU. He Auez Aitmagambetov had a training in Malaysian university and JAMK in Nursing “Model of training of specialists in Nursing in Finland” and he has attended master-classes "The development of flexible learning paths accelerated academic undergraduate "Nursing" specialty”, "Transition of the educational standard of the academic Bachelor of the Nursing specialty for medical universities." He has seven publications in Medicine, Nursing, and Education in Healthcare. He received his Master’s degree in 2015 and is now studying for a PhD.

In ProInca, he will mainly work in WP 2.3 (Establish HEI research program and networking).

Ms. Saduyeva graduated as Bachelor of Nursing in 2014 and Master of Sciences in 2016. Her master’s dissertation topic was «Organization of nursing model schools for patients with bronchial asthma». Currently she is a teacher of the department of public health and nursing of KSMU.

In ProInca, she will mainly work in WP 2.3 (Establish HEI research program and networking).

Ms. Zhetmekova’s key qualifications are English, research in nursing, and competence based learning. She has experience in creating nursing curricula.

Dr. Brigita Skela Savič, PhD, MSc, BSc, RN, is an Associate Professor in Healthcare and Nursing Management and Dean of the Angela Boškin Faculty of Health Care (ABFHC). She has made a significant contribution towards understanding and implementing advanced practice in nursing in Slovenia, helping nurses realize the importance of specialization, master’s degree programs and PhD programs in nursing, and the need for applying postgraduate-level knowledge in clinical practice.

Ms. Kalender Smajlović is a Registered Nurse and a Lecturer. She has amaster's degree in nursing. She has expertise in surgical patient nursing care and quality assurance.

In ProInCa, Sanela Pivač’s position is project management, implementation (designing and implementing study), evaluation (analyzing results), quality assurance, and research, and she will work in WPs 2.2 (Efficiency and quality by evidence based nursing) and 1, 3, 4 and 5.

Ms. Pivačis a Registered Nurse and a lecturer at ABFHC. She has a master's degree in nursing. She has worked at the Emergency Department at General Hospital Jesenice. She is interested in health promotion and management. Currently she is coordinating a national project on mental health promotion and working as a researcher in other projects.

In ProInCa, Katja Pesjak’s position is project coordination and she will work in WPs 2.2 (Efficiency and quality by evidence-based nursing) and 1, 3, 4 and 5.

Ms. Pesjak has been and currently is a coordinator and/or researcher in several international & national projects. Her professional field is sociology, specializing in family. Her work at ABFHC is oriented in the field of health promotion, public health and professionalism.

Ms. Bahun has a BSc in health education and a master's degree in nursing. She is a lecturer at ABFHC. Currently she works in research Sustain -10 in the field of diabetes.

Head of Science department

Dr. Amangali Akanov is one of the initiators of the ProInCa project. As a coordinator and WP co-leader of WP 2.1, he will regulate the internal organization of the work, supervise the content and task process of WP2.1, and communicate the progress and results of the work package.

Mr. Amangali Akanov has more than 27 publications on the issues of medical education, public health, pharmacy, etc. He is an expert TDR WHO, curator of the student chapter ISPOR, HTA expert in the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and expert of the National Ethics Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Chief specialist of the National and International Project Management office

Ms. Gulim Aimagambetova actively participated in the development of the ProInCa application from Kazakhstani universities. In this project, she will be responsible for timely provision of information to the project coordinator, translation of necessary documents (Russian/Kazakh-English), participation in Skype meetings with foreign partners, information gathering, and other organizational issues.

In ProInCa, she will mainly work in WPs 1 (Preparation) and 5 (Management).

Head of Educational Training Center

In the ProInCa-project, Ms. Zhanar Bukeyeva, Candidate of Medical Sciences, will work in WP 2.1 (Center for Nursing Excellence).

She has experience in international projects, and was the coordinator of the TEMPUS project "Creation of the interregional network of national centers on medical education, aimed at the introduction of problem-based learning and the virtual patient". She also has wide experience in the Kazakhstan nursing education status and nursing education development.

Head of e-learning and informational security office in AMU

In the ProInCa project, Mr. Eldar Issabayev and his team (technical staff) are responsible for the design and development of the e-platform, piloting, and securing the sustainability of CNE (WP 2.1).

Mr. Eldar Issabayev has been introducing e-learning in medical education in Kazakhstan since 2012. He has wide experience in installing, configuring and using LMS Moodle. He is one of the authors of the portal for interactive learning, the Sirius. In addition, Mr. Issabaev has experience in maintenance of e-learning systems within projects at national and international level (Tempus, Erasmus +).

Chief Specialist of the automation, e-Learning, cybersecurity, data management and electronic library department

Mr.Dauren Zhakupov has experience in administration and configuration of platforms that provide access to electronic databases. His key qualifications are knowledge and experience with various educational platforms, as well as library service delivery systems.

In the ProInCa-project, he is responsible development of the e-platform.

Dikolaev

Researcher

Mr. Vladimir Dikolaev previously worked as a cardiac surgeon at the National Medical Scientific Center. Currently he is the Leading specialist of the Science department at JSC “AMU”. Mr. Vladimir Dikolaev actively participates in national and international workshops, trainings and symposiums, and has been awarded with Best Case Presentation, Cardiac Surgery Salzburg Cleveland Seminar (2014). He has also attended many scientific-practical conferences around the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In ProInCa, he will be responsible for CNE and e-platform needs and requirement analysis in WP 2.1.

Dijkman

Educational advisor

Within ProInCa, Ms. Dijkman,MSc, is the work WP leader of WP2.1. (Center for Nursing Excellence) and will be part of the project management group.

Ms. Dijkman has a master’s degree in educational technology and a long experience working as a projectleader, educational specialist, policy advisor and researcher within higher education. Currently she is working as a policy advisor within the Centre of Expertise Healthy Ageing of Hanze UAS.

Professor of Nursing Diagnostics

Within ProInCa, professor, RN, BNSc, MNSc, PhD, Mr. Wolter Paans will work as an expert in WP2.1. (Center for Nursing Excellence) as one of the keypersons in this work package. Based on his expertise, he will also be involved in the other work packages Hanze UAS contributes to.

Mr. Paans is Professor of Nursing Diagnostics at the Hanze UAS School of Nursing in Groningen. He has expertise in Evidence Based Practice and the development of education tools for research opportunities, such as blended learning and e-learning programs in methodology and reasoning skills.

Ruiter

Academic director of the Centre of Expertise Healthy Ageing

Dr. Han de Ruiter, PhD, MBA, will join ProInCa in the role of Academic Advisor.

He is the academic director of the Centre of Expertise Healthy Ageing. This Centre is part of the Hanze University of Applied Sciences and also related to other universities and institutes of vocational education. Furthermore, he is chair and member of several advisory boards and supervisory boards in health care.
